私たちは２００８年４月１９日、インドネシアのスマトラにある孤児院の改築資金を集める為に、沖縄から北海道まで約３ヶ月をかけて３１００キロを自転車で走りました。

私たちは目標金額である１００万￥を集め、１１月３日から１２月４日までの一ヶ月間インドネシアのスマトラ、メダンに渡り孤児院の改築工事に関わりました。滞在中、孤児たちに英語の授業をしたり、映画に連れて行ったり数々のイベントをし、また、２日間かけて課外授業もしました。その授業で子供たちに一緒に学ぶことや、一緒に生活していくことなどのユニティー、勇気を持つことの大切さなどを学べる色々なゲームをしました。

今、孤児院の子供たちの寝室、トイレ、キッチンの改築が始まりました。でも、これらを終える為になお３０万の資金が必要です。そこで私たちは残りの資金を集める為に「チャリティーベア」を作りました。これを一口２０００￥で購入していただき、私たちと共に孤児院支援の支援者として参加していただきたいと思います。この利益は１００％メダンの孤児院の改築のために使用されます。どうぞ多くの知り合いや家族の人達にこのことを伝えていただければ嬉しいです。

On April 19th 2008, we rode 3100km on bicycle from Okinawa to Hokkaido in hopes to collect donations for the renovation of an orphanage located in Sumatra, Indonesia.

Upon accomplishing our goal of 1,000,000¥, on November 3rd 2008 till December 4th, we traveled to Medan, Sumatra in order to begin renovation of the orphanage.

During the one month we spent in Medan, we organized English classes for the kids, took them to the movies, and also had a 2 day excursion to an outdoor learning program. There, the kids played games teaching them team work, unity, and courage. The renovation to rebuild the kids bedrooms, toilets, and kitchen have begun, but we are still 300,000¥ short in funds to complete this renovation.

As the renovation cannot be completed until the full funds are supplied, we ask for your help by donating 2,000¥ in exchange for a Charity Bear as a symbol of your role in helping realize the kid's dreams. A 100% of the profits will be used for the renovation and we ask you to spread the word to friends and family for a good cause.
