We were on the newspaper in Kagoshima. It was really nice cause some sweet old lady recognized us as we were packing up our camp and she gave us some local famous food called " Jyambou mochi". She saw us on the paper and wished us good luck. It was a good way to start our day.

There is an island across from Kagoshima called "Sakurajima". It is a volcanic mountain on it. A beautiful view to wake up to, dontcha think?

Marie ate somthing wierd and her tounge became long and white. EWW!
So we packed up camp and headed out to the street for some busking.

Here is the "Jambou mochi" that the nice old lady gave us. Its famous around these parts , and it was really YUMMY as well.

Stretchy too! YUM YUM

This nice old man stopped to watch us play and bought us some coffee, Tx old man! 。。

This cool old dude was also cycling around Japan, but he was on a Mama chari, which means a regular bike that usually house wives use to go shopping with. The long up hills must be though... Good job old man.

We met alot of cool people this day busking. This is Mr. Kadokawa. He is an awesome guy and took us out to eat steak that night. Thanks Mr. Kadokawa!

This man is from Nagoya. He was also cycling around Japan. He gave us a donation and we had an interesting chat.

Now this monk was really cool. He also traveled across Japan, by WALK. It took him about a year. He had lots of words of wisdom and we learned alot from him.

He is a teacher for inteligent students gathered around South East Asia(Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia etc) and helped us with a donation.

This young man named Shyo was also traveling across Japan by bicycle. He is only 18 years old but very mature. He had a solar panel on his bike which I thought was a very clever idea. Smart young man eh?

Here is Us and Mr. Kadokawa with his lovely friend, Nariko. We had steak and lots of beer. It was delicious. An excellent way to end our day.

We camped with Shyo this night. He was a good guitar player, and we had fun jamming with him. Good luck on your journey Shyo!
