５月１６日 竹原〜福山

今日は出発前に近くを観光しました。ここはかぐや姫の元となった町です。古い町並みを遺してるから見に行きました！
May 16/ day 27.
We heard that there was a famous old village near by where we stayed so we dicided to check it out before we left.

一番上まで上ったら町の風景が全部見えました！！お祈りをして。。。

Reaching the temple at the top you can see the whole village! We said a prayer...

ここでも交通安全のお札を買いました。

and prayed once again for our safty on the road.

抱え地蔵にも！小さいのにめっちゃ重たくて、持ち上げるのにちょっと苦労します。

This little buddah was very heavy!

竹原と言うだけあって、竹職人のお店がありました。すごい細かい作業でどれも素敵！！

Takehara is famous for Take (bamboo) so many shops are filled with handmade bamboo bags, toys etc.. It was very cool.
地元で有名なおっちゃんとも会い、町の説明もしてくれました！ありがとうございます！

We also were able to meet a famous old man around these parts. He is working to preserve this old town. Some of the houses here have been standing for 200 years. He's doing a pretty good job, keep it up! And thank you for your kindness!

泊まる所も、町案内も募金もしてくれたゆうえいさんに大感謝！！お仕事頑張ってくださいね！

友達のりなに誕生日プレゼントで買った風車を付けて出発！！

A birthday present for our friend Rina from Takehara! I strap it to my bike and we are off...

風を受けてよく回ります！！てか。。回りすぎて壊れそうなので外しました。

Look at it go!! It works very well...maybe a bit too well....it looked like it might brake so I took it off..

太陽も出ててポカポカ！眠くなって来て。。

The sun came out and I began to get sleepy...

お昼ねをしました！すごくグッスリ眠れました（＾０＾）

So, we took a nap! ZZZZZZZzzzzz

起きて、出発！！初めての１０００KMを突破！！！頑張るぞ！

I slept very well, and we are off again. Today we rode our first 1000 km's!! YEAY!!

福山に着き、ネットカフェを探してたらMOTOMACHIを発見しました！！神戸を思い出すね〜。。

Upon arriving in Fukuyama we began to look for a net cafe, when we found Motomachi archade! It reminded us of home...
ここで道案内をしてくれたお二人。すごく親切にしてくれました。ありがとうございます！！今日はブログ作りにネットカフェに行き、泊まりました。どんどん体が慣れて行き、神戸も近くなり、元気バリバリです！

We asked these two kind young man where we could find a net cafe. They were very kind!

As we are very behind on the blog, tonight we stayed at the net cafe. We are getting closer to Kobe!
