June 3/ day 46.
Marie sleepeth with Rei, our friends sister's baby. Rei must be having a good dream!
He wasn't happy that we woke him from his good dream....
Manami tells us a good place to busk, and we head out to Shijyou street. There are many old buildings and untouched areas.
Lovely ladies stroll the town in komono's, to add a touch to the ancient atmosphere.
At the end of Shijyou street we find this brightly colored temple.
Here we find an old police box. Kinda cute eh?

We decide to wander into a side street ....
It almost as if we slipped back in time. Kyoto never fails to give you a glimps of how things were.
Its a funny thought to think, if we road these streets back in the old days with our bikes and all, people would think we are aliens!
Just before we started busking, a friend we havn't seen in YEARS passes by! She usually takes the bus home, but today she decided to walk. I guess we were ment to see her today! Lucky us!
A band who usually play in the spot we had chosen were very kind and let us use there amps and other equipment, and even joined in and played with us! It was an excellent collaboration!

With the music being louder, many more people stopped to listen and gave donations!
We met with a Kyoto newspaper journalist, and he agreed to put our story in the paper. Thank you everyone!!

"Sheena" is the name of the helpful band, who play irish style music. They are a VERY TALENTED group! For anyone who may be interested in there music check out there home page listed above!

During busking, we met a dude named "Koh". The week before he had just done a charity live with his friends to collect donations for Sumatra! He was passing by when he saw our sign, and stopped to talk with us. After busking Koh show'ed us where we might be able to see some geishya's.
We were lucky enough to see some real geishya's walking the streeets!
Later, we had dinner all together, said goodbye to Koh, and headed home.
